On a warm bright clear day over twenty Chesapeake Region members and their cars made their way through the back roads of Virginia’s Northern Neck to Shandy Hall for the third annual Rolls-Royce Rappahannock River Romp & Bentley Bay Bash. For some this was their first regional event. For others it was another in a long list of events that they have attended. Both young and young at heart attended this event along the shores of the Rappahannock River.
Some folks walked along the beach looking for ancient artifacts including arrowheads and pottery, others took a dip in the pool while still more fished off the dock. Everyone enjoyed the camaraderie that our region has to offer and everyone enjoyed talking about their cars. Among the cars in attendance were one Darby Bentley, four Corniches, two bright red Bentley Turbo R’s, two Silver Spurs and two Silver Dawns, one built in 1954 and the other built in 1997.
New friendships were made and old friendships were renewed at this annual event. Plan to come to the next Chesapeake Region and have fun.
