From Washington, D. C.

Take I 95 South to Fredericksburg

Just past Fredericksburg take the Rt. 17 exit heading South to Tappahannock

Once in Tappahannock turn left onto Rt. 360 to Warsaw you will cross a bridge over the Rappahannock River

Go through Warsaw (stay in right lane) at the third traffic light in Warsaw go right on Rt. 3 (Historyland Highway), this is just past a 7-11 on your right.  Make note of mileage at the light.

Go through the small town of Emmerton (you may even miss the fact that it is a town). 

Just past a BP gas station on your right you will turn right onto Rt. 642 (Sharps Road), road sign points to Sharps (this is 6.2 miles from third light in Warsaw)

Stay straight through the cross roads that are past Ebenezer Baptist Church.  Rt. number changes to 614 and road name changes to Suggets Point Road. 

There is a SHARP right curve just past a short ridge after the cross roads so be careful. 

You will see two white pillars where the road curves to the left.  Go straight through those pillars, that is Shandy Hall. 

Follow the road to the turn to the left and we are at the main house at the end of the road.
